i'm in love

with james jean's sketchbooks,
madly madly, in love. he did some textiles for prada if you're wondering why you feel it's all so familiar. my art assignment is to do a piece in response to his work, i'm gonna experiment with toning the pages like he does in the first two photos and trying out multiple layers. i hope the pages in my sketchbook can handle it.

my camera was out of batteries and i'll take a picture of the piece that was submitted as soon as i get it back, the only photo i have is blackberry quality, not good.

all thrifted, the scarf is homemade and i distressed the jacket on my own.
mostly everything was altered and changed by me, like the hem of the skirt
and the tie dye shirt, and the bleaching of the jacket.
not very photogenic as you can see.
